Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2025
These terms govern your use of the digitaltradies.com website and any services provided by Digital Tradies ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Services
Digital Tradies provides web design, local SEO and Google Reviews automation services for UK tradespeople and small businesses. Our current service offerings and pricing are listed on our Pricing page.
We reserve the right to update our services, pricing and packages at any time. Any changes will not affect projects or agreements already in progress.
2. Quotes and Agreements
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. A project begins once you have accepted a quote in writing (including email) and any required deposit has been received.
For ongoing services (Care Plan, Growth Plan, Local SEO, Reviews Automation), the agreement runs on a rolling monthly basis unless a fixed term is specified.
3. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are listed in GBP (£) and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
- One-off services (e.g. Website Build) — 50% deposit required before work begins, with the balance due on completion before the site goes live.
- Monthly services (e.g. SEO, Reviews, Care Plan) — billed monthly in advance by invoice or direct debit.
- Invoices are due within 14 days of issue. We reserve the right to suspend services if payment is more than 14 days overdue.
4. What You Provide
To deliver our services, you agree to provide in a timely manner:
- Business information, logos, photos and any text/copy you want included
- Access to relevant accounts (domain registrar, Google Business Profile, hosting) where needed
- Prompt feedback on drafts and revisions
Delays in providing materials may push back agreed timelines. We are not responsible for delays caused by late or incomplete information from you.
5. Revisions
Website build projects include up to two rounds of revisions on the initial design. Additional revision rounds or significant scope changes may be quoted separately.
Minor text and image updates are included as part of ongoing Care Plan and Growth Plan subscriptions.
6. Intellectual Property
- Your content — you retain ownership of all text, images, logos and materials you provide to us.
- Our work — upon full payment, ownership of the custom website design and code we create for you transfers to you.
- Third-party assets — any stock images, fonts or plugins sourced from third parties are subject to their respective licences. We will inform you of any licensing requirements.
- Portfolio rights — we reserve the right to display the completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.
7. Hosting and Domains
If hosting is included in your plan, we will manage hosting on your behalf for the duration of the agreement. Your domain name remains your property at all times. If you cancel, we will assist with transferring your site and domain to your new provider.
8. Cancellation
- Monthly services — you may cancel with 30 days' written notice. No refunds are given for the current billing period.
- One-off projects — if you cancel after work has begun, fees for completed work are non-refundable. Any unused deposit balance will be refunded.
- By us — we may terminate the agreement if payment is persistently overdue, or if you breach these terms. We will give you 14 days' notice where possible.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied with the initial website design, we'll revise it until you're happy or refund your deposit — no questions asked. This applies to the design phase before the site goes live.
10. Limitation of Liability
We will carry out our services with reasonable skill and care. However:
- We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings, traffic levels or lead volumes. SEO results depend on many factors outside our control.
- We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue or data arising from the use of (or inability to use) our services, except where caused by our negligence.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive business information shared during the course of our working relationship. This obligation survives termination of the agreement.
12. Use of Our Website
You agree not to:
- Use our website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or systems
- Copy, reproduce or redistribute our website content without permission
We make reasonable efforts to keep our website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all information is error-free.
13. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites and recommend you review their own terms and privacy policies.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
